Level 3 First Aid Work Requalification (12 Hours Face To Face Over 2 Days)

Eligibility

This is a 'requalification' course, with the following requirements:-

  • To enroll in the requalification course, you must be in possession of a current Level First Aid At Work certificate, which must be either still valid or expired no longer than 28 calendar days from Day No1 of the face to face course.
  • Learners must produce this valid Level 3 First Aid At Work certificate before the start of the course.

HSE, RQF And OFQUAL Regulated

Our Level 3 First Aid at Work Requalification course is only available to existing customers who already hold a valid full 3-day First Aid At Work certificate. This course covers the full syllabus from the initial 3-day FAW qualification—just more condensed over 2 days. This course should be completed before the existing certificate expires.

Course Syllabus

You will learn to deal with a variety of workplace first aid situations, including:-

Unit 1:- Emergency First Aid In The Workplace

  •  Roles and responsibilities of a first aider.
  • Assessing an incident and casualty.
  • CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Recovery position.
  • Choking.
  • Seizures.
  • Shock.
  • Wounds and bleeding.
  • Minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises, burns, scalds).

Unit 2:- Recognition And Management Of Illness And Injury

  •  Head, neck and spinal injuries.
  • Chest injuries.
  • Fractures, sprains, strains and dislocations.
  • Burns and scalds.
  • Eye injuries.
  • Sudden poisoning.
  • Anaphylaxis and severe allergic reactions.
  • Stroke and heart attack.

Certification

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Level 3 First Aid At Work certificate, regulated by Ofqual and meeting HSE requirements.
