Our Level 3 First Aid at Work course is designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and is fully RQF and Ofqual regulated. This qualification equips customers with the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to handle a wide range of first aid emergencies for higher risk workplaces (e.g. engineering, construction, manufacturing and warehouses). This course also provides comprehensive training for those who are required to be the designated First Aider in their workplace.

Course Syllabus

You will learn to deal with a variety of workplace first aid situations, including:-

Unit 1:- Emergency First Aid In The Workplace

•  Roles and responsibilities of a first aider.
• Assessing an incident and casualty.
• CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
• Recovery position.
• Choking.
• Seizures.
• Shock.
• Wounds and bleeding.
• Minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises, burns, scalds).

Unit 2:- Recognition And Management Of Illness And Injury

• Head, neck and spinal injuries.
• Chest injuries.
• Fractures, sprains, strains and dislocations.
• Burns and scalds.
• Eye injuries.
• Sudden poisoning.
• Anaphylaxis and severe allergic reactions.
• Stroke and heart attack.

 Unit 3:- Catastrophic Bleeding And Advanced Techniques (Free Additional Module)

•  Use of tourniquets.
• Application of haemostatic dressings.
• Use of Bag Valve Mask in CPR.

Certification

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Level 3 First Aid At Work certificate, regulated by OFQUAL and meeting HSE requirements.
