Course Syllabus

Unit 1:- Emergency Paediatric First Aid

• The role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider.
• Assessing an emergency safely.
• CPR and use of an AED (infant and child).
• Choking (infant and child).
• Dealing with shock, wounds, bleeding, and minor injuries.

Unit 2:- Managing Paediatric Illness, Injuries And Emergencies

• Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.
• Asthma and breathing difficulties.
• Seizures and epilepsy.
• Meningitis and febrile convulsions.
• Head, neck, and back injuries.
• Fractures and dislocations.
• Burns, scalds, and poisoning.

Certification

Successful delegates will receive a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid certificate valid for 3 years. Fully recognised by Ofsted and meets EYFS statutory framework requirements
