Blended Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (6 Hours On- Line And 6 Hour Face To Face Over 1 Day)

RQF And OFQUAL Regulated – Meets EYFS and Ofsted Requirements

 The course syllabus has been designed in accordance with the UK resuscitation guidelines (2015) and meets the requirements of OFSTED, (EYFS) Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, Pre-School Learning Alliance, NCMA (National Child Minders Association), Sure Start and NVQ in childcare and education.

This course is suitable for nursery nurses, breakfast clubs, after school clubs, child minders, primary schools, any workers who provides care for babies and children. It is a ‘Blended Learning’ course, consisting of the following parts:-

Part No:- Online

This part of the course is self-directed and is expected to take 6 hours online to complete. It consists of several modules, which can be completed at your own pace, in your own environment, providing you the flexibility for your needs. The online training must be completed within the 6 weeks prior to your face to face training.

Part No2:- Face To Face (At Our Training Centre)

This part of the course is at our Training Centre to complete the face to face training and is expected to take 7 hours. This includes a practical and written assessments, including subjects covered on the online training section.

The process is as follows:-

2. Once confirmed, you will receive a second email with full joining details to the Part No2 – face -to face section of the course, along with the login details to start the Part No1 – Online section of the course.

 Please Note:- Due to the online aspect of the course, once the booking has been made, no alterations can be made. This includes the name of the person attending and the date for the Part No2 face to face section of the course. If you require more flexibility, you may want to consider the full 2 day face to face Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Training course.

Course Syllabus

Unit 1:- Emergency Paediatric First Aid

• The role and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider.
• Assessing an emergency safely.
• CPR and use of an AED (infant and child).
• Choking (infant and child).
• Dealing with shock, wounds, bleeding, and minor injuries.

Unit 2:- Managing Paediatric Illness, Injuries And Emergencies

• Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.
• Asthma and breathing difficulties.
• Seizures and epilepsy.
• Meningitis and febrile convulsions.
• Head, neck, and back injuries.
• Fractures and dislocations.
• Burns, scalds, and poisoning.

Certification

Successful delegates will receive a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid certificate, valid for 3 years. This is fully recognised by Ofsted and meets EYFS statutory framework requirements
