This outdoor course focuses on First Aid for the outdoor environments and meets the requirements of most of the UK NGB outdoor instructors awards. The course is designed to meet the needs of those working away from immediate assistance (30 minutes) in remote and rural setting in the UK.

Location & Availability
We are based in the Sheffield & Rotherham area, however we area ideally suited to servicing the South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire areas.

Syllabus
The following range of subjects are covered:-
Fears of First Aid.
Assessing, diagnosing & incident management.
Decision to mover or not to move a patient.
First Aiders responsibilities.
Preventing cross infection, recording accidents & incidents.
Consent.
Treating unconsciousness.
Adult CPR.
Choking, allergies & asthma.
Minor injuries, bleeding & shock.
Heart attacks & strokes.
Severe burns & scalds.
Fractures, sprains , strains & dislocations.
Temperature related issues.
Head injuries, spinal & eye injuries.
Seizures, epilepsy & diabetes.
Practical outdoor scenarios…
